[p.63] Benjamin Simonds (1726-1870) commanded a company of Berkshire County, Massachusetts militia. He was born in Ware; died in Williamstown, Mass.
Hosea Hamilton (1752-96) served as captain and adjutant in Col. Henry Ludington's regiment, New York Continental Line. He was born in Colchester, Conn.; died in Chatham, N. Y.
William Morris (1739-1821) was a private in Capt. Henry Darrah's company, Bucks County, Pennsylvania militia. He was born in Hilltown, Pa.
Simeon Raymond (1711-95), a patriot, signed the Norwalk petition, 1779. He was born and died in Norwalk, Conn.
Josiah Putnam (1719-95) turned out on the Lexington Alarm as captain in Col. Jedediah Foster's regiment. He was born in Salem; died in Warren, Mass.
George Douglas (1726-99) served as captain in Berks County Pennsylvania troops, Lots' battalion, Flying Camp. He was born in Lancaster County; died in Douglasville, Pa.
Ezekiel Rambo (1738-1808) served as a private in Capt. Amos Sturges' company, Philadelphia militia. He was born and died in Upper Merion, Pa.
James Hamilton (1743-1815) was lieutenant in Capt. John Roland's company, Pennsylvania militia. He was born and died in Lancaster County, Pa.
